SiteReviewLab Documentation

Everything you need to start reviewing, previewing, and comparing websites.

Getting Started

Open SiteReviewLab, enter any URL, and load it into a device frame. No installs or extensions required.

Running your first review

Paste a URL into the reviewer, choose a device, and toggle Design Review to see a plain-language summary of colors, typography, and layout.

Using device preview

Pick from desktop, laptop, tablet, phone, and foldable devices. Switch orientation, zoom, and use custom resize for any width and height.

Using Side-by-Side Mode

Render one URL across multiple device frames at once on a horizontal canvas. Add or remove devices to compare responsiveness.

Comparing two websites

Use Compare Sites mode to load two URLs next to each other and walk through a design token comparison table.

Saving inspirations

Bookmark sites you admire with notes and tags. Your inspiration library is available from the Inspirations tab.

Understanding design reviews

Design reviews are plain-language summaries based on best-effort visual analysis. Some details are estimated when sites block direct style access.

Screenshot limitations

Many sites prevent third-party tools from capturing their embedded page content. You can capture the device frame, open the site in a new tab, or fall back to a future server-side option.

Why some sites block previews

Sites can set X-Frame-Options, Content-Security-Policy, or other headers that prevent embedding. Use the proxy toggle or open the site directly when this happens.

Account and usage limits

One free anonymous review is allowed before a free account is required. Free accounts unlock monthly limits, and paid plans expand reviews, comparisons, and inspections.
